RESISTANCE & BALANCE (R&B) CLASSES! Level 1, 2, and Cardio Pace. The perfect compliment to traditional pilates matwork. With a focus on standing strength, balance and core stability, these classes translate pilates concepts into functional fitness. Small equipment used for stability/strength challanges. Cardio level taught as vigourous flow! Mon 11:15, Cardio; Thurs 8:45 am L 1, 5:30 pm L1-2, Sat 10am, L 1-2.

PILATES-YOGA FLOW (Pi-Yo Flow): 30 minutes of vigorous standing yoga balance/flow+ 30 minutes of pilates matwork and traditional yoga poses for strength and flexibility. A well balanced workout, finishes with relaxing savasana. Tuesday 12:15, Thursday 11:15 am.

PILATES BARRELS AND BANDS: The arc shape of the barrel enhances abdominal overload, provides balance challenges and increases stretch potential. Limited to 5 students, but at group package rate! L 1-2, Tues 10 am, Thurs 7:30 pm. (must sign-up in advance)

WORLD BEAT WORKOUT! Come Wed 12:15-1:15 pm for the best workout of your week! High energy cardio dance moves to upbeat tempos of world music. No prior dance needed!

BRIDAL BOOTCAMP!-Trainers Holli and Lynne have developed an intensive program including matwork, equipemnt and cardio to get you in top shape! Rates dependent on frequency and committment. Ask about intro special!

PRE- NATAL PILATES- A pre-natal class that challenges pregnant mamas in safe ranges. Class goals are improving posture, enhancing strength, increasing energy level and stamina, and mental focus/relaxation. Class runs Sundays 4:15-5:15 pm. Ongoing, on session basis. Flow Chicago Pilates and Yoga Studio

Flow is a fully-equipped Chicago pilates studio offering individual lessons in both the pilates method and yoga, a dynamic schedule of group exercise classes, as well as the Body Arts and Science International Comprehesive Pilates Teacher Training Certification Program.

Cindy Reid opened flow studio in April 2002 to expand her teaching practice of pilates, yoga, and dance-based movement and exercise. She chose the name flow because of her belief that with regular practice of pilates and yoga, the body and mind learn to flow in harmony and literally in movement resulting in fluid, efficient use of energy, and greater overall intergration and zest for life. Celebrating 7 years of operation, Cindy and all the flow instructors share a strong belief in and dedication to bringing students a higher quality of life through mindful movement training, and enhanced overall fitness and wellness.

On that note, we are very excited to offer an expanded summer group class schedule. New classes balance out our offerings to include more functional strength and balance training, more cardiovascular classes, and a variety of new equipment challenges. New classes are offered as part of our group package series where a 10, 20 or 30 pack offer all the variety and flexibility of gym drop- in classes, plus the distinct advantage of smaller sized classes, and instructors who are highly trained in biomechanics and committed to improving your workouts! With summer weather here, it makes sense to get the most out of your exercise investment: in quality and quantity!

We welcome new students at every level. Flow offers a friendly atmosphere and a clear emphasis on tailoring exercise sessions to individual needs. Our instructors can assist with goals ranging from pain management, core stabilization and joint mobilization, to total body conditioning for all fitness levels including professional athletes and dancers. Our staff consults with a network of health service providers including pts, chiropractors and physicians and on staff professionals at Flow offer massage therapy, thai body therapy and acupuncture. We are committed to bringing clients a holistic approach to wellness. And we are committed to providing continuing education and training opportunites for pilates and fitness teachers who aspire to the highest level of exercise professionalism.
